Social Impact Pioneer Fellowship
SPECIAL CALL for ONE SOCIAL IMPACT PIONEER FELLOWSHIP in Fall 2024
The Social Impact Pioneer Fellowship empowers entrepreneurial ETH students and researchers in developing their research-based technologies into viable products and services with a social impact to successfully launch a scalable ETH Spin-off company. The Social Impact Pioneer Fellowship is awarded to projects that serve people living with less than 10 USD per day in low- and middle-income countries. All countries on the OECD DAC List 2024-2025 are eligible (external page see OECD DAC-LIST 2024-2025).
You will receive up to CHF 150’000 for 18 months (12 months for a team of 2 Fellows). In addition, you will get coaching, entrepreneurial training, support by your host Professor, access to ETH infrastructure and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Eligibility:
The fellowship is awarded to candidates who fulfill the following criteria:
- A team of 1-2 entrepreneurial individuals who want to commercialise results of their own research (Masters or Doctoral thesis or postdoctoral research) at ETH;
- A project where a company has not yet been incorporated;
- The project and team are fully supported by a host professor at ETH;
- A promising business case serving people living with less than 10 Dollars per day in countries that are recipients of official development assistance (external page see OECD DAC-LIST 2024-2025)
