Meet the Research Challenges Grantees
We are delighted to present to you the first grant recipients of the ETH4D Research Challenges, which address challenges faced by underprivileged people in low income countries. These projects also foster collaborations between ETH researchers and non-academic partners (i.e. Private Sector, NGOs, Governmental Organizations) and partners from the Global South.
The first round closed on 30th September 2019 and we received 7 proposals, which were reviewed by the ETH4D Committee for Research Challenges. They evaluated the quality, feasibility, relevance, applicability, team qualifications and diversity and own financial and in-kind contributions of these projects. Based on these criteria, they selected the 3 following projects for funding through the ETH4D Research Challenge Grants (ETH4D RCG):
