Register for the ETH Model United Nations course
Model United Nations (MUN) is an educational activity during which students have the opportunity to simulate work at the United Nations while deepening their knowledge on the organisation and gaining valuable new skills. Registration deadline: 6th March 2020.
In this course, students will participate in a Model United Nations (MUN), deepen their knowledge about the United Nations (UN) and its role in international relations, as well as look into opportunities and challenges the organisation is currently facing. Students will also strengthen their skills in negotiation, diplomacy and public speaking.
Students familiarize themselves with a particular country’s priorities and strategies for UN negotiations and get the opportunity to represent the interests of a country at a Model United Nations (MUN). The course consists of five sessions running between 9th March-4th May 2020 that include teaching and discussions about the UN system with external experts as well as the preparation and participation in a external pageMUN in Zurichcall_made (1st-3rd May 2020). Upon request and at students’ own expense they can also attend a MUN in another location. The course is supported by external pageETH MUNcall_made.
