As an output of the ETH4D Pilot Project "Empowering informal workers through unionization" by Dr. Patrick Illien & Dr. Anna Fabry, we are excited to invite you to a series of events discussing the social, economic, and cultural aspects of decent work and urban food systems in the Global South.

The panel, photovoice exhibition, and special edition ETH4D student lunch will bring together diverse stakeholders, including Ghanaian project partners.

The panel discussion serves as the highlight of a week-long photovoice exhibition featuring powerful images from the participatory research project of Dr. Patrick Illien and Dr. Anna Fabry with informal food service workers and employers in Accra, Ghana, showcasing their daily lives, challenges, and resilience in this essential yet often underrepresented sector. Following the panel discussion, visitors are invited to a convivial apéro, during which you can explore the exhibition.

The special edition ETH4D student lunch will include a guided tour of the exhibiton given by Ms. Deborah Freeman, Executive Secretary of the Informal Economy Workers' Forum of Ghana (INFORUM)

The discussion will feature the following esteemed panelists:
- Dr. Edward Asiedu, Senior Lecturer, University of Ghana
- Ms. Deborah Freeman, Executive Secretary, Informal Economy Workers' Forum of Ghana
- Dr. Uma Rani, Senior Economist, International Labour Organization (ILO)
- Ms. Nicole Bolliger, Programme Manager, Brücke Le Pont
- Dr. Sabin Bieri, Director Centre for Development and Environment (CDE), University of Bern

We look forward to seeing you there!
