ETH Projects "Breathe" and "Diaxxo" Participate in SASBI Africa Residency Programme

"Breathe" and "Diaxxo" are among ten Swiss startups that participate in the SASBI Africa Residency Programme. The programme supports entrepreneurs to spend time in Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, or South Africa to boost their know-how and advance growth opportunities.

As part of the programme, the startups will travel to Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya or South Africa and benefit from business contacts with partners such as Swiss embassies, innovation offices at universities or AfriLabs Innovation Hubs.

The programme, led by the University of Basel, aims to improve the entrepreneurial know-how of university graduates in Africa and provide them with international contacts. It is supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation.

The “external pagebreathe” team develops and tests a low-cost, robust and easy-to-use transport ventilator for use in middle- and low-income countries.

external pageDiaxxo has developed a fast, affordable, and accurate point-of-care PCR device that detect various diseases such as COVID-19 or Malaria.
