SDG Pitch Event 2022: Students' Ideas for a Sustainable Future

The SDG Pitch event went into it's third round with exciting ideas from students at ETH and UZH who are working towards a sustainable future.  

Dedicated students and researchers at ETH Zurich and UZH showcased their project ideas that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

In each three minutes, the following student teams presented their idea, which global issue they tackle and the potential impact of the solution to the jury and the audience.

  • INSEPET: sustainable pet food, presented by Yuwei & Anna Belousova
  • external pagewheemoimproving drive train material-consumption and energy efficiency presented by Theo Messin
  • Cobra: inclusive bras, presented by Xindi Liu & Renjun Tang
  • external pageHumane Warriors: a platform connecting global talents to communities in need, presented by Rythima Shinde 

We also had the opportunity to engage with external pageProf. Guilherme Lichand, who gave us insights into his journey of creating his entrepreneurial project external pageMovva, a Brazilian edtech helping higher-ed institutions keep their students enrolled and engaged. George Boateng who participated in the very first edition of the SDG Pitch Event, returned to give us an update about his project external pageSua Codea smartphone-based online coding program aiming to teach millions across Africa how to code.
